Okay, for anyone who cares, I know it's been a really long time since my last post. But a lot has happened since the last time I wrote. I've scrapped the Deus Ex Machina project, as well as the development of Queratia. Instead, I am focusing on something different. A friend and I have been working for a while on programming an instant messenger from scratch, in Java. We're almost finished with v1.0, and I can finalize the code once he gets back from his incredibly long vacation. The initial release won't have many features, but it will work nicely. It's meant to be used on shared network drives at schools and corporations, for students/workers who need to exchange information, or are just bored and need a break. I am also working on two other java projects. The first is a zombie attack simulator, based on The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks. Honestly I don't know when I'll have this out, since the Instant Messenger is my first priority at this point. The last project I am working on is a basic desktop assistant called Apollo. I'm really excited about this one, since I've been thinking of making an interactive desktop assistant for a while. Apollo will be open-source, and will be able to modify his own code(to a certain extent) so you can add new commands, definitions, etc. Summed up, Apollo will be a learning AI that, after a few weeks of usage, should be quite a capable assistant. This is requiring a lot more creative thinking on my part than usual(which is saying something), and it's only in early development, so no release date is set yet. Also, I have fixed the download links. So if anyone wants to download any of my stuff, all the links are posted at the bottom of this post. As always, anyone who wants assistance or has questions about my projects can contact me at a.darkstone@yahoo.com. I'll probably be posting a lot more now, so keep checking. Thanks!
